Learning Fun

For those visiting the Batiquitos Lagoon and taking young naturalists along, don’t miss the opportunity to educate. Kids are drawn to plants and animals, and getting them started early helps ensure the preservation of natural areas and resources for the future. Friendly volunteers at the Batiquitos Lagoon’s nature center are happy to share their knowledge. You can also start at home by visiting the http://www.batiquitos.org website, which offers good information for people of all ages on Batiquitos Lagoon history and preservation. The site’s “Activities” page has links at the bottom to puzzles and games the kids will enjoy - - and reinforce what they’ve learned at the site or on the trail.
